FoRG policy:
FoRG policy is to resist further commercialisation of the Green and vicinity – either through change of use, temporary event licences or alterations to the built environment that detract from the charming residential character of the locality. Currently there are four established annual events staged on the Green. Outside of these four established events, FoRG does not support the introduction of new fixtures or events on the Green. FoRG routinely objects to applications for changes of use (or extensions) that would shift the present commercial : residential balance towards retail.
